USS Carl Vinson
On 18th Feb 2017, the United States deployed the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson to the disputed waters of the South China Sea. The Vinson carries a flight group of more than 60 aircraft, including F/A-18 jet fighters.

New ISRO record
On 14 Feb 17, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully launched a record 104 satellites into space on a single rocket from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh. Launch Vehicle PSLV-C37 also injected into orbit India’s weather observation CARTOSAT Series satellite and 103 nano satellites.

Autonomous taxi drones
Self-driving single occupancy drone taxi will be flying passengers across Dubai from July 2017. This was informed by the city’s Roads and Transport Authority. Dubai’s ruling family has predicted that by 2030, a quarter of all journeys in a city state, will be autonomous.
